UPCOMING SHOWS & EXHIBITS

Call for Artists...

The Image and The Word
February 9th - March 4th, 2012

Opening Reception:
Sunday, February 12th
2:00 - 4:00 p.m.

For members only, a fusion of writing and art. YAA invites submissions of artwork inspired by words; either poetry or prose, original or quoted. The words used should be clearly typed onto an 8" or 10" paper to be displayed next to the art work. If members write their own poetry, we encourage them to combine their own words with their images, and to read from their poetry at the opening reception. Due to time limitations, the show chairs will make selections of opening reception readings.  The show will be judged by award winning artist Katherine Baucke.

Artists may submit up to three pieces. Submissions may include paintings, drawings, as well as other forms of art, such as photography, fiber art, and sculpture.  Artwork must have been completed by the artist within the last 3 years.  Participating artists will be expected to gallery sit. There is no guarantee of acceptance into the show.  Artists are asked to comply with YAA's wiring and hanging guidelines.  All work submitted must be eligible for sale.  YAA receives a 30% commission on all sales.
