I have been creating pottery for a few years now and started at the Potters Shop in Needham, Massachusetts. At present, I take pottery at the New Art Center in Newton . I get many of my ideas from the Maine seashore and nature. I create design platters, bowls and plates; ceramic tiles inserted into wooden frames. The Sea shore gives me inspiration in making pendant jewelry, earrings and key chains. I also work with lace designs to press in slab clay and then form various forms with the inlayed design such as plates, bowls. I am now working with stoneware clay.
I am currently selling my pottery in The York Art Association gift shop. I submit my pottery in the York Art Association open or Juried monthly shows. I also submit my pottery in annual student show at the New Art Center in Newton, MA.
I have been selling at local craft fairs. You can view and buy my pottery here at http://www.etsy.com/shop/potterybynoelle.
