The York Art Association is a nonprofit organization providing opportunities and empowering people of all walks of life to enjoy the arts. It is a place for local artists, performers and exhibitors to showcase their work. And, it is a place for families to learn about the arts and ways to enjoy being creative, while engaging in new arts. It's a place for the tourist to stop by and buy a souvenir from their travels, or to understand more of the local culture. Art inspires us all.
The Executive Director is Annette Brennan, and she is dedicated to providing a full range of programming, arts resources and partnership, as well as inviting people of all ages and backgrounds to participate. Annette works with volunteers on teams to further what cannot be done without their help and volunteers are our backbone. A Board of Directors and Advisors help steer the course and ensure financial integrity and truth to the mission.
The York Art Association has 150 members, and these members are both artists and art aficionados. They provide resources and receive many benefits. Many of the programs and offerings are possible due to members and their support.
The York Art Association values, promotes and supports the visual, performing and literary arts by providing programs and events for the benefit of the community.
